Penn & Teller: Fool Us
At the Pat and Teller Theater at the Rio in Las Vegas, host Alyson Hannigan introduces another night of Fool Us as Penn & Teller try to unravel the methods behind each performance without exposing secrets. Comedy magician Mike Bliss brings big energy to a Houdini-inspired escape, recruiting two audience members to tie him tightly with ropes before a cloth-covered moment sets up his surprising get-free finish. Later, Montreal-based magician Ekaterina takes a more intimate approach, using a red balloon and a story about hope and her family’s move from Russia to Canada to guide Alyson into a vivid childhood-memory revelation—mixing smoke-and-mirrors presentation with a personal, reflective tone.
