Penn & Teller: Fool Us

From the Pat and Teller Theater at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, host Alyson Hannigan introduces another night of Fool Us as Penn & Teller try to deduce each illusion without exposing secrets. Fourth-generation magician Liberty Larson—descended from a family tied to The Magic Castle—performs a dreamlike “time machine” effect: Hannigan writes a message to her younger self, drops it into a “portal,” and the note is later discovered sealed inside a real ice cube in a locked box. Penn & Teller praise the presentation and attempt to explain the method in their trademark vague style before the episode continues with more acts, including Spanish magician Jorge Blass, who spins a fairy-tale card routine featuring a transformed green Jack of Diamonds and a frog reveal.
