An (25), a young photographer, became so obsessed with chasing modern trends that he lost his creative individuality. Upon returning to his hometown of Mang Thit for Tet, he struggled to find a unique "color" for his contest entry; his work, while technically flawless, lacked soul. When he discovered his father had gone into debt to revive the traditional pottery craft, An objected, dismissing the work as backbreaking and outdated. He even smashed the pottery his father had poured his heart into—using the shards for a photo shoot—sparking a fierce confrontation. It was only after this argument that An truly grasped the depth of his father's love and their bond. In an effort to make amends, he personally finished the batch of pottery his father had left incomplete. This act helped him gradually understand the value of family, hard work, and his hometown's cultural identity. Although he did not win the competition, he rediscovered his true "color"—not only in his art but within himself.
